It does not need painting or staining, does not splinter. It is solid board form with the color throughout the board. A UV inhibitor is added to resist breakdown and fading. It may be left outdoors year round.
To maintain original finish, clean with fresh water (not chlorinated or salt water) and a mild soap.
Tailwind orders their materials at 10% denser than industry standard to better hold the stainless steel screws and bolts.
